Motivation
It's been awhile since I've written a post. I've still been at it; eating right, exercising, tracking everything. Here's are just a few images to help with the motivation.

Good things come to those that wait...
I am aware that it has been awhile since I last posted. Honestly just didn't have anything to write about.
I've been working out 5-6 days a week and staying within my calories. I haven't had a "cheat day" that wasn't within my calories since early February. All my hard work has not been for nothing...because...as of weigh in on Saturday March 2nd, I have officially lost 20 pounds!
This morning when I logged into My Fitness Pal, I had this nice pretty message greeting me! LOVE IT!
As much as I threaten my friend T when he makes me lift, I actually love lifting heavy weights. I feel stronger already and I'm seeing some changes in my body. This is how I want my back to look like! Look at those muscles and the definition!
My new gym has a boxing room and I've been wanting to learn to box for awhile now. My friend T that is helping with my weight training has boxing experience and has agreed to incorporate boxing into our training. I can't wait! So I went out to Dick's Sporting Goods in search of boxing gloves. While I was there, I compared the in store prices to the prices on Amazon and found a pair of women's gloves on Amazon for $17 compared to the $40 in store at Dick's. Sooooo....of course I bought the $17 pair from Amazon. The only thing is they are PINK. I HATE PINK. But I love saving money. I can live with pink gloves for $17.

Tales of the Scale
I totally forgot to post this last Friday....but better late than never, right? Right!
Unfortunately with the addition of heavy lifting in my workout routine, the scale is up a little this week. Which is expected when adding a heavy lifting routine. I can feel my muscles growing...haha.
I lost 3 pounds last week!

I pick things up and put them down...
I switched gyms over the weekend and I've started a lifting regime with the help of a rugby teammate, T. My friend J switched gyms at the same time so now we are work out buddies. T has been working us like dogs On Tuesday, I couldn't move any muscle in my body without it hurting. I am LOVING lifting! It hurts but in a weird way, I actually like it.
Tonight, we will lift things up and put them down...

Never give up
It's been a few weeks since I last posted anything. I've been busy being on plan! It's amazing the results that can happen when you actually are on plan and work out.
I took measurements for the first time since October-ish. Even though my weight has been up and down since October and I'm still within the same 5 pounds, I have lost 2 inches off of my waist! My thighs and arms were the same. I'm excited to see progress even if my weight is still not moving in the right direction.
Eating right and exercising has become like second nature now. I've been able to leave work at a reasonable hour lately and I'm finding myself at the gym on days that I normally wouldn't go. I track my workouts on a little calendar and give myself a star for every day I work out. I have no excuses!

Weekly Goals 1/7
I've decided to start writing out some weekly goals to keep me accountable for the week.
This week I will:
* Work out 5 days this week.
* Eat well balanced meals and stay within my calorie goal.
* Track every day this week, including Saturday and Sunday.
* Not step on the scale until my weigh in day on Friday.
* Stay OP over the weekend.
I will check in on Sunday to see if I've accomplished my goals.

Making a Vacation Goal
My mom and I are planning a vacation to Florida in April. I'm setting a goal of 30 pound lose by our vacation. That gives me 3 months to lose 30 pounds. My ultimate goal is to lose 40 pounds by then but I think that 30 is a more realistic goal.
My current gym membership is up at the end of January and come that time I am switching gyms. The new gym will cost me $15 less per month and a lot of my rugby teammates work out there. My friend J is going to join me at the new gym in February so I'll have a buddy to work out with. I like working out but it gets boring so I'm excited to have a buddy to work out with.

My rugby teammate T is in great shape and lost a lot of weight over the years so I told him that when J and I join the new gym, he will be our personal trainer. He is excited for the challenge and so am I! The new gym has a boxing area and I've always wanted to learn how to box. T said he'd teach me as part of my training with him.
I'M WICKED EXCITED!!
I hope that having a workout buddy and my very own personal trainer will get me to my goal for April.
